FAQ
What is the Alpin Tour Plus designed for ?
It is intended for snow couloirs, steep slopes and more technical mountaineering routes, where a classic glacier hiking ice axe may be less suitable.
How is it different from a glacier hiking ice axe ?
A glacier hiking model is primarily designed for classic glacier travel. The Alpin Tour Plus is better suited to steeper or more technical terrain requiring a more versatile tool.
Is any other equipment included ?
No. The €15 rental covers one ice axe only. Crampons, mountaineering boots, helmet, harness and other equipment must be rented or supplied separately.
Do I need to know how to use this type of ice axe ?
Yes. This product is intended for users who already know how to move on steep terrain and use an ice axe correctly in snow couloirs or on steep slopes. Equipment rental does not replace proper training or professional guiding.
